Theme In F Major

(To be truthful, I filled this tag out over a month ago, but I am just getting around to posting it. Bear with me here, please. Since my long absence from blogger in the last few weeks I've found a bunch of random posts tucked away in my drafts and now I'm working on getting them all published.)

I saw this music tag over at Maria's blog, and if you know anything about me, I love music. I loved this tag and absolutely had to do it. Let's just say that in my family, music is our occupational hazard.

Rules:

1. Put your iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
4. Tag 20 friends. {edit: sorry, folks! I forgot to tag people! However, if you're reading this, and you love music, consider yourself tagged, and have fun!}
5. Everyone tagged has to do the same thing.

If someone says "Are you okay?" you say...
Dawn (Gettysburg)
Does this mean I'm a morning person? Hmm...

What would best describe your personality?
Watch Your Footwork (The Happiest Millionaire)
I've got dynamite up my sleeve! Watch out! :D

How would you describe yourself?
Rodeo, selections from the complete ballet: Hoedown (Aaron Copland)

Just listen to this song and you'll see what I supposedly describe myself...

What do you like in a guy/girl?
From History to Legend (Gettysburg)

That's right, General Lee. Lovey dovey stuff is a thing of the past that I don't care to think about.

How do you feel today?
On that Great, Gettin' Up Day (On My Journey Home by The Wilds Choral)

Pure awesomeness.

What is your life's purpose?
One Last Shot (Pirates of the Carribean)

Not sure how to decipher this one. Am I living my life in order to use that lost shot, or is my life that last shot?

What's Your Motto?
The Sound of Music (The Sound of Music)

Ahem. Let me repeat what I said before: In my family, music is an occupational hazard. It's really true!

What do your friends think of you?
Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious (Mary Poppins)

Yes, yes, I am, aren't I? :D

What do your parents think of you?
Building the Raft (Journey to the Center of the Earth)

Mommy, Daddy, I'm sorry for being such a pain that you feel the need to send me across the ocean...

What do you think about very often?
The Return (Journey to the Center of the Earth)

Ah, yes! Recently the return of our cousin Capt. Oblivious from the west!

What is 2 + 2?
Killer Angel (Gettysburg)

Math is killer. 'Nuff said.

What do you think of your best friend?
Angel of Music (The Phantom of the Opera)

:D

What do you think of the person you like?
The First Battle (Gettysburg)

This is great! "I like you, now let's battle!"

What is your life story?
Fortuosity (The Happiest Millionaire)

Yes, this is on shuffle!! But, sorry, John Lawless... I don't think my life is as fortuituous as yours.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Something There (Beauty and the Beast)

Well, there's something there on the tip of my tongue that I want to be...

What do you think when you see the person you like?
Climb Ev'ry Mountain (The Sound of Music)

Haha! I'm loving the answers to these otherwise romantic questions!

What will you do at your wedding?
The Center of the Earth (Journey to the Center of the Earth)

Ooh! Exotic wedding location!

What will they play at your funeral?
Romantic Flight (How to Train Your Dragon)

*crickets*

What is your hobby/interest?
Be Our Guest (Beauty and the Beast)

Entertaing random strangers who wander blindly into my home with an epic song and dance routine with dinner on the side? Okay!! :)

What is your biggest fear?
A Fine Romance (from the film Swing Time... which I've never seen; I just know the song)

Bahahaha! *wipes away tears* I'm sorry, peoples! Is it just me??

What is your biggest secret?
Dixie (Gettysburg)

Yes, now you all know the big secret: I was born in Dixie! True story, really.

What do you want right now?

Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast)
All I can think of right now is the beautiful library that first won Belle's heart. Yes, yes, I do want that.

What do you think of your friends?

Waiting for the Lights (Tangled)
You are all waiting for the lights? Maybe I should go find some to light before you all "unfriend" me!

What's the worst thing that could happen?

General Lee at Twilight (Gettysburg)
Yeah, 'specially because he's not alive anymore. That would be awkward.

What is the one thing you regret?

My Favorite Things (The Sound of Music)
*scratches head* Well, random music tag and Windows Media Player, you do what you gotta do. I'll just back off to the sidelines.

What makes you laugh?
This is Berk (How to Train Your Dragon)

Actually, I do laugh heartily all throughout Hiccup's narration. "We have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests."

What makes you cry?
The Battle of Little Round Top (Gettysburg)

Okay, this is the seventh song from the Gettysburg soundtrack that I've gotten. I'm starting to wonder about my shuffle settings... Anywho, Little Round Top makes me cry? That would be one of the things that might, if I cried more.

Will you ever get married?
Free (Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper)

This song is from a really cute little girl movie that I nevertheless love. How can I help it when I have three younger sisters? So, how is the song revelant to the question? Ahem... you tell me. :)

What scares you the most?
Walk the Plank (Pirates of the Carribean)

Not far from the truth. Never fancied myself taking a liking to a watery grave.

Does anyone like you?

The Ring Goes South (The Fellowship of the Ring)
Nope, no one likes me. They all took the ring and went south.

If you could go back in time, what would you change?
Riders of Rohan (The Two Towers)
Why I would change the Riders of Rohan, I have no idea, because they're doing pretty well as they are right now. "Rohirrim! To the king!"

What hurts right now?
The Vikings Have Their Tea (How to Train Your Dragon)

They're having tea without me? Yes, I'm hurt! Oh, wait... I don't even like tea...

What would you want to say to the person who tagged you?
Gaston (Beauty and the Beast)

Well, I wasn't officially tagged; I stole this off Maria's blog, so technically I don't have to call anyone Gaston... right?

What will you name this post?

Theme in F (a song I wrote)
Wow, how fitting to finish off with an original composition! This song I actually wrote in about all of five minutes, but I was still pleased with how it turned out. Now to put it into an instrumental arrangement where it doesn't sound fake and electronic. And if you want to listen to it, it's right here.
Theme in F Major by Kiri Liz

God bless!

Your song is so pretty! I love it!!

Also, Barbie Princess and the Pauper FTW! Yes, I'm 20 years old and quite enjoy some of those Barbie movies. Princess and the Pauper has the best songs.

  4. This was a fun post, I enjoyed reading your answers!
Your 'Theme in F Major' is really pretty! I hope you don't mind but I went to your profile on MuseScore.com and enjoyed listening to your other pieces as well!

My main reason for commenting is that I wondered if you'd be interested in helping out with something for the Jane Austen Birthday Assembly event I'm co-hosting. If you wouldn't mind e-mailing me at OldFashionedCharming(at)gmail(dot)com I'll give you some details. :)

    1. Thanks, Miss Melody! I had too much fun filling this out! :)

And no, I haven't seen The Hobbit yet. With 8 people in my family, it's just easier to wait for things to come out on DVD. I can't wait to watch it!! :D
