There are so many different aspects of my life that to cover it all in one solitary blog is nearly impossible. So why am I starting this blog, Lianne Taimenlore? What's it all about? Why did I name it Lianne Taimenlore? And who is this Kiri Liz person, anyway? I imagine these are the questions going through your mind right now.
First off, I have come to love blogging, and I guess that the attraction of writing this blog (even if no one ever reads it) was too much for me to avoid.
On the topic of what this blog is all about: Everything! My writing and movies and books and music and randomness and anything else that I feel like writing posts about. But I like to say that it's all about life and literature. Alliteration... gotta love it!
Lianne Taimenlore is the name of the main character in the first book I ever wrote. Well, I don't know if it could be considered a book as it is a currently unedited slop of some 70,000 words poured into about 30 chapters. However, Lianne holds a dear spot in my heart as my first big attempt at writing, and I couldn't help but name my blog after her. I can't say that out of all the characters I have created that she is my favorite, just that she holds the most memories.
And who is Kiri Liz? Why, that's me! *waves*
Oh, you wanted to know more about me... well, for starters, I am a twenty-something homeschool graduate living somewhere under a maple tree in contentment. I'm the second of six siblings, five girls and one boy. I've always loved writing and reading, though I can't determine which one of the two is my favorite hobby. I love gingerbread, and am an avid fan of all things Dickens, Austen, and Tolkien. I am a born again Christian, saved through the shed blood of the Lamb, and I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of our holy God.
And if you want to know more about me, read my blog. It says ever so much more about me, I'm sure, than this single page ever could.
I love your template/header theme! And it looks like we have a bit in common - love of writing and reading, professing Christianity, etc.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading more of your posts!

Hello!
ReplyDeleteI have just found you blog, and have been really enjoying it! Your post about LOTR/ Narnia vs. Harry Potter was very good, and well explained.
I love writing too, mostly historical fiction, but I do have some fantasy ideas bouncing around in me head :)

Thank you for your testimony on here. I found you through the Lord of the Rings/harry potter article that a friend shared with me. But as I looked into your site more, I am glad to see that there are more in my age group that like fantasy that is like Lord of the Rings, or Narnia and yet still hold God so high in their lives. I thank you for your virtue, and not allowing things into that would send a question about your faith.
